Worcester's Conservation Commission fined a property owner $2,000 and continued a charter school field hearing.
Conservation · Meeting of October 26, 2026
Worcester's Conservation Commission fined a property owner $2,000 and continued a charter school field hearing. Commissioners voted to find Lakeview Property, LLC in violation of city wetlands rules at 342 Lake Avenue, imposing a $100-per-day fine for 20 days after the owner paved beyond approved limits despite a stop-work order. Staff member Eric Flint said required buffer markers still were not installed.
The board separately continued a hearing on field and playground renovations at the Abby Kelly Foster Charter School, 2 New Bond Street, to November 16, after commissioners said they lacked time to review late-submitted fencing and turf-removal details, with one saying, "I just don't feel like I have all the information we requested." The commission also ordered a 142 O'Lean Street homeowner to remove an unpermitted pool platform and fence from wetland buffers and previewed a wetlands ordinance rewrite headed to City Council by year's end.
