Pan-Mass Challenge will start in Worcester for the first time this summer, and the city marked its basketball history with a bridge renaming honoring Bob Cousy.

WORCESTER -- COMMUNITY

The Pan-Mass Challenge, the annual charity cycling event, will begin in Worcester for the first time, organizers announced. The ride's goal is to raise $79 million for cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Separately, the city renamed the I-290 bridge over Southbridge Street in honor of NBA legend Bob Cousy, a nod to Worcester's basketball heritage.
