WORCESTER — The Adult Career Pathways Committee held its final meeting, reaching consensus to wind down operations after determining its work duplicated other regional boards. Chair Joshua Froimson and members cited limited staff capacity at the MCRWB and declining member engagement, including multiple meetings without a quorum, as drivers of consolidation. The committee's responsibilities will transfer to the WIOA Partners Leadership group, the MCRWB Youth Workforce Council, the MCRWB Executive Committee, and other regional groups.
The MassHire Career Center reported six staff vacancies but noted two recent hires and additional positions in progress. The board is preparing for a U.S. Department of Labor compliance review scheduled for late November 2026.
